Growing babies like Madi need lots of sleep!
Well, we wanted to provide you all with a day by day update of what's been happening while we've been in Paris, but good grief time flies when you're taking care of a baby! We just had not been able to get a chance to sit down and blog for you, so Cheryl's sister decided to try and help set up each day so they would be chronological and we just needed to edit the posts and put the daily details in. Thank you, Auntie Karen, for helping Mommy & Daddy get this blog set up for everyone!
Friday wasn't much of an exciting day around here...Madi just ate, slept, and dirtied a bunch of diapers. We were hopeful that we would have been traveling home to Arkansas today, but no such luck. We talked to our social worker in Arkansas and she said that the state had our paperwork, but didn't get it in time to process it before the weekend. Since Monday is a federal holiday (Veteran's Day), it looks like we won't be able to go home until Tuesday. The unfortunate part is that Scott wants to be at work on Monday so that he can save some of his vacation time for the holidays. Sooo...it looks like Scott will be driving back to Arkansas on Sunday evening, going to work on Monday and Tuesday, and provided that our paperwork does go through on Tuesday as expected, he'll leave after work on Tuesday to drive back down here to pick up Madilyn & Cheryl. Since it's about a 4 hr drive or so, we'll all stay here in Paris together on Tuesday night, and then get up early to go home on Wednesday morning so that hopefully Scott can get back in time to get a half day of work in. It's not ideal, but new daddies are known for not getting much sleep : )
