Madilyn hasn't been in a hotel since the first
day we picked her up. Obviously, she doesn't
remember that occasion, so it was a lot of fun
to play on the hotel bed before going to court!

Madilyn was showing off at the lawyer's office
before court. She actually got our lawyer so
tickled that he said he was going to have to
make sure he didn't look at her when he was
asking questions during the hearing b/c she
would make him loose his train of thought!

but this was the view of the court room...you'll
see our lawyer on the left about to sit down,
I'm in green, Scott's got Madilyn in his lap, then
there's the bailiff, court reporter, and judge.
The only people in the "audience" were ones
that we had invited - my mom, Madilyn's old
foster mom, and our social worker.

One of Madilyn's special guests was Margaret -
her foster mom when she was first born!
Madilyn sure has grown since the last
time "Mimi" saw her!
After the official proceedings were over,
the judge came down and swooped
Madilyn up to steal some sugars!
These two just hit it off! How could we have
asked for a better judge than this?!

Scott and I...she insisted that Grandma get her!
Of course, that just made my mom's day!

Thursday, June 13th was a very exciting day for the Savage family. That was the day that Madilyn's adoption was finalized in the courts!!
